Why use an antioxidant on the scalp?

The scalp is one of the most exposed areas of skin on the body, facing daily UV exposure, pollution, hard water, heat styling, weather changes and friction from styling.

These environmental stressors can contribute to oxidative stress, which happens when unstable molecules (free radicals) are generated faster than the skin can deal with them.

Over time, oxidative stress can contribute to dryness, tightness, discomfort and a weakened skin barrier. While a regular oil can help moisturise the scalp and reduce moisture loss, it does little to address the environmental stressors that may be contributing to those issues in the first place.

Chubby Oil combines a nourishing lipid base with a concentrated blend of antioxidants that help neutralise free radicals before they can contribute to ongoing oxidative stress, replenish moisture and support the skin barrier and overall scalp health in environments where daily skin stressors are part of life.

Will it make my roots greasy?

It depends on how much you use and your hair type.

The formula is oil-based, so a little goes a long way. For fine, oily or easily weighed-down hair, use it as a pre-shampoo scalp treatment before washing; leave on for at least 30 minutes before shampooing, or longer if your scalp and hair type prefer it.

For dry scalps or thicker hair types, it can be applied to a clean scalp and left on.

Is this only for the scalp?

No. It can also be used on other areas of skin in need of extra nourishment.

Use a few drops on clean skin and allow to absorb. Avoid the eye area, broken/burned skin or active irritation.

    Excellent skin repair

    If your skin needs repairing, this is excellent. It’s surprisingly nourishing so a little goes a long way.

    Only a small amount is needed

    I used too much at first and my face looked greasy. It had a nice finish after I blotted the excess off. Only a small amount is needed so it will last me a long time. I’ve been using tiny amounts on my face and it has made my skin extra soft and healthy looking.

    This works really well. Super softening. On the face you only need a really small amount. Like, whatever you consider to be small, use half of that amount...it will be enough!

    Calmed my skin

    This is one of the only oil-heavy products I've used that hasn’t broken me out. It has really improved my texture issues, my skin has been so soft and smooth. Pleased with it.
