Dryness doesn’t have a single cause, so our testing doesn’t have a single focus. Each product is evaluated under real-world conditions that reflect the key stressors known to deplete hydration and damage the skin barrier, including:

Hard Water Exposure
Which disrupts pH balance and leaves a drying mineral residue on skin and hair.

Urban Pollution
Including airborne particles and oxidative stress that degrade the skin barrier and strip moisture.

Lifestyle Stressors

HOW WE TEST

Each product is evaluated in trials supervised by qualified assessors. Testing spans 72 hours to 7 days, depending on the formula’s purpose and use.

Products are compared against a control sample, and assessed for both hydration performance and skin/hair compatibility. To pass The MAJI LANE Standard™, a formula must:

Show a measurable increase in hydration and moisture retention.
Avoid triggering flare-ups or irritation in the majority of test subjects.
Maintain performance under multiple environmental stressors.
