Can this hair oil remove hard water buildup?

No. Damaged Goods is not a clarifying or chelating treatment. It will not remove mineral buildup from the hair.
It is designed as an oil serum to help hair feel softer, look shinier and appear less rough between washes.

Will it cause buildup or make my hair greasy?

Any leave-on oil can build up if overused. Damaged Goods is designed to feel lightweight, but all hair oils can feel heavy if too much is applied.

Start with a few drops, focus on the ends, and only add more if your hair needs it.

The best results come from using a small amount and washing with gentle cleansers regularly. If your hair starts to feel heavy, reduce the amount or use it as a pre-shampoo treatment instead.

Is this a heat protectant?

Damaged Goods can help hair look smoother after styling, but it is not a heat protectant.

If you use heat tools, apply a heat-protective product first, then use Damaged Goods as a finishing step.

Can I use it before washing my hair?

Yes. You can apply it to dry lengths and ends of hair before shampooing as a pre-wash treatment.
This is a good option for fine hair, or for anyone who wants the conditioning feel of an oil without leaving it in all day.

Can I use it on colour-treated hair?

Yes. Damaged Goods is suitable for colour-treated hair and can help improve the look and feel of dry, dull or rough lengths and ends. It does not tint or chemically repair the hair.

great for bleached hair
I leave it in close to an hour, Wash & condition. It's like I have brand new hair afterwards. I've also bleached my hair for 10 years to give some context for how well it works.

Seems to help
I’ve started oiling my aging hair (I'm 60 and grey haired) because of frizz, dryness and breakage. I have always used good products, conditioners etc but I just can't seem to get the soft manageable hair I want. I have been using this hair oil about every other week. I like to leave it overnight if I can and wash it the next day. I see better conditioned hair overall with improvement in softness and significantly less hair breakage. Not as much hair in the brush either for me it's worth it.

pleasantly surprised
I’m normally not big on hair oils so it took me a while to get around to trying this sample. I was pleasantly surprised, it's not very greasy. My hair is very fine so I couldn’t use too much, but the parts that I put the oil on were nicely shiny and stayed soft for days. It won’t be an everyday thing for me but overall not a bad experience for a hair oil hater like me.
