Crambe phytosterol

Derived from Abyssinian kale, native to the highlands of East Africa, these lightweight esters glide over strands to help smooth and protect without flattening natural bounce or volume. Think of them as a light layer of defence — there when hair needs it, invisible when it doesn’t.

Cicer Extract

A chickpea-derived peptide that works ahead of breakage, not after it.
It forms a protective network around the hair’s natural protein structure, helping support its bonds and reinforce vulnerable areas before further damage can take hold.

Can this hair oil remove hard water buildup?

No. Damaged Goods is not a clarifying or chelating treatment. It will not remove mineral buildup from the hair.
It is a treatment oil to help strengthen hair, make it feel softer and appear less rough between washes.

Will it cause buildup or make my hair greasy?

Any leave-on oil can build up if overused. Damaged Goods is designed to feel lightweight, but all hair oils can feel heavy if too much is applied.

Start with a few drops, focus on the ends, and only add more if your hair needs it.

The best results come from using a small amount and washing with gentle cleansers regularly. If your hair starts to feel heavy, reduce the amount/use it on damp instead of dry hair.

Is this a heat protectant?

Damaged Goods can help hair look smoother after styling, but it is not a heat protectant.

If you use heat tools, apply a heat-protective product first, then use Damaged Goods as a finishing step.

Can I use it before washing my hair?

Yes. You can apply it to dry lengths and ends of hair before shampooing as a pre-wash treatment.
This is a good option for fine hair, or for anyone who wants the benefits of the oil without leaving it in all day.

Can I use it on colour-treated hair?

Yes. Damaged Goods is suitable for colour-treated hair and can help improve the look and feel of dry, dull or rough lengths and ends. It does not tint or chemically alter the hair.

    I am very late on the hair-oiling train. I always thought oils would make my hair look like a greasy mess but this has transformed my hair and I wish I had started doing this earlier.

    fab

    Made my hair look fab. I have to wash my hair more often than usual with it but didn’t mind as it helped get rid of the frizz. It has a nice fresh fruity green fragrance, the smell reminds me of a jo malone candle a bit.

    I was glad it didn’t have that overbearing sweet scent that so many hair oils have these days!

    great for bleached hair

    I leave it in close to an hour, Wash & condition. It's like I have brand new hair afterwards. I've also bleached my hair for 10 years to give some context for how well it works.

    Seems to help

    I’ve started oiling my aging hair (I'm 60 and grey haired) because of frizz, dryness and breakage. I have always used good products, conditioners etc but I just can't seem to get the soft manageable hair I want. I have been using this hair oil about every other week. I like to leave it overnight if I can and wash it the next day. I see better conditioned hair overall with improvement in softness and significantly less hair breakage. Not as much hair in the brush either for me it's worth it.
